Our Success Stories

Nothing is more gratifying or heartening than seeing a pet’s health improve, their energy return, and their playful activities resume. Below are just a few of the many stories of pets that have benefited from treatments with our inspired physicians at Holistic Veterinary Care.

.

Jack is a handsome 5 year old chocolate Labrador that came to us with an immensely swollen leg and a defeated spirit. Diagnosed with what seemed to be a black widow spider bite on his rear leg, Jack was referred to us for hyperbaric oxygen treatment to reduce swelling. After just a few treatments, Jack began feeling better and significant improvements were seen as the swelling began to go down. By the end of Jack’s treatments, he went from a lethargic and depressed Labrador to a healthy and energetic one. He bounded into Holistic Vet Care for a re-check from Dr. Richter and was like a completely brand new dog. His owner was very grateful for his improvements and continues to send us updates.

.

Athena is a gorgeous husky mix that was becoming highly anemic due to the side effects of a large amount of medications she was given to treat an auto-immune disorder. While she never lost her spunk or her love for treats, she began to experience the negative side effects of her anemic reaction. After several treatments in our hyperbaric oxygen chamber, Athena not only felt better, but was less anemic and we were able to successfully reduce her prescription dosages. Athena was a staff favorite because of her beautiful coat and her sweet nature. Her parents were amazed by the improvements they saw and she continues to thrive.

A touching testimonial from Jillian, who talks about her remarkable experience at Holistic Vet Care. Her dog, Drake, was diagnosed with cancer and was told he only had 3 months to live, even with chemotherapy. Upon hearing such devastating news, she took Drake to Holistic Vet Care, where Dr. Richter put Drake on a series of holistic treatments which allowed Drake to become cancer free!  Hey, don’t take our word for it, here is Jillian herself. Way to go Jillian and Drake!

Here is Evan, talking about her experience at Holistic Vet Care and how Dr. Richter along with the rest of the staff helped her dog.

“Iris was a rescue who spent her whole life in a cage. Her right hip was very weak with a funny gait. After her first adjustment I was very excited on how her gait changed and how much further she could walk and get around without as much pain. I feel like every animal should get chiropractic care because it works so well.”

.

“Our 11 year old lab (Chief) was completely crippled and unable to walk at all when we returned from a trip last summer. We truly believed he would not make it through the week when we came to Holistic for a last ditch effort. Beth and her crew were so great! We took their advice and between the acupuncture, the meds, the therapeutic swims and the expert TLC, Chief is like a new dog! I heartily recommend to anyone that, if their animal is hurting, give them a try and you will add years of healthful enjoyment to their life!”

- Michael & Cynthia Karasik

“Dr. Richter: Thank you for the care Dr. Lisa Koenig and you have provided for my Labs. Dr. Lisa’s chiropractic treatments and advice on supplements have kept my 14 1/2 year old yellow Lab happy, mobile, and comfortable, for which I am extremely grateful.”
